Getting blogging right

Up until now this blog has been a bit of a hotchpotch. It started off as a way to share family news and experiences, before social networking sites really kicked off, and turned into a bit of a commentary on the news, anything I felt particularly fired up about at the time, and, occasionally, posts like this talking about the blog itself.

Dull and messy for most readers; unfocussed and therefore hard to maintain for me. It was a cross between an public, online journal and a random assortment of semi-interesting opinion pieces.

So I'm changing all that. I'm removing posts that really belong on private social networks and sticking to the newsy, opinion based stuff. And by knowing what it is that I'm intending to use this blog for, hopefully I'll be able to update it a bit more regularly.

Here's hoping.

Blog ressurrected

Yes it's time to resurrect this blog again and shove it into the new look www.wagweb.co.uk! I've kept all the old posts, but as you can see from the first example, some of them are a tad out of date :)

Simplified

We've tried a good few things with WagWeb, and here's the latest incarnation of the site. It's a blog, pure and simple, generated using Google's Blogger software. The advantage is that it's free (unlike the last iteration of the site) and, hopefully, just as easy for us to use (unlike the iterations before that) so hopefully all is good. But, this being my first post, I don't even know if it works yet! If you're reading this, clearly it does.

I'll make no promises about keeping things up to date, but I will try and get our previous content visible again at some point as well. Enjoy...

P.S. Sorry about the pink, I'll get rid of that soon :)
